Buzz Rickson's Frogskin Camouflage Bag, SUIT-PNEUMATIC ANTI-G TYPE G-3A, BR02879 The G-3A is an anti-G suit developed during World War II. When piloting a fighter jet, the intense stress placed on the pilot affects blood flow, and a lack of oxygen in the brain can cause loss of consciousness. To prevent this, a suit was developed that compresses the lower body with cords to prevent blood from flowing to the extremities. The base is a bag to store it in. It is originally made of herringbone twill fabric, but thisBuzz Rickson's original uses frogskin camouflage fabric. The stitching is done with painstaking piping, and the zipper is a war-era TALON zipper.
