Tailor Toyo Sukajan Jacket, EAGLE x BLUE TIGER, Eagle and Blue Tiger, Reversible, TT15790-170 This mid-1950s Sukajan jacket, originally made by Tailor Toyo in the 1990s, has been re-released using current technology for the first time in about 30 years. The eagle embroidery, depicted in a gradient of orange that stands out against the wine-colored body, is outstanding, and the multicolored ribbing tightens the overall balance. The reversible side features a silver and navy reverse color scheme body with a ferociously roaring blue tiger. Taking advantage of the glossy rayon thread, the stitching is intricately altered to create multiple layers of embroidery, creating a three-dimensional effect and shading that expresses the tiger's fur and stripes, even though it is a single color. As with the surface, the four-color ribbing adds an accent.
Reversible with acetate fabric on both sides. In the post-war period, Sukajan jackets were made from acetate, a non-controlled material that has a luxurious feel similar to silk. Since it has no padding, it can be worn in any season and has a unique drape.
