TAILOR TOYO ALASKAN EAGLE×DOG SLED Sukajan Jacket (TT15790-128)
Based on a vintage item from the late 1950s, this extremely rare and highly sought-after Alaska-patterned souvenir jacket, commonly known as the Alaska Jean, is a must-have.
This reversible jacket has no padding and can be worn in any season, with acetate fabric on both sides.
The front side features an embroidery of a lightning bolt and polar bear on the chest, and a bald eagle soaring above the ice floes and Mount McKinley on the back.
Alaska, where wilderness remains, is called "America's last frontier," and this message is embroidered at the bottom.
The reversible side features an unusual black and orange color scheme, with Alaskan houses and totem poles, and on the back an aurora, the Alaska Mountains, and an Alaskan Husky dog sled.
This is a reproduction of a Sukajan jacket that was produced in the 1950s by Minato Shokai (the predecessor of Tailor Toyo) at the request of the US military and sold at the commissary on the Alaskan base.
