TAILOR TOYO Tailor Toyo Vietnam Map TT15546 Vietnam Jacket Like the Sukajan, which was created in post-war Japan, the souvenir jacket, commonly known as the Viet-Jean, was created during the Vietnam War. There are two types available: one with a quilted liner and one with cotton twill, and this one is cotton twill with a lining. The embroidered design features a tiger on the chest, a dragon on the sleeve, and the classic Vietnam map on the back. This season's designs are based on the late 1960s and were custom ordered by American soldiers stationed in the southern Vietnamese city of Soc Trang. The dragon on the sleeve is larger than the rest of the suit and is intricately embroidered. The embroidery on the map, which changes color to match the body color, is a perfect reproduction finished with a lighter colored embroidery thread than the other body colors.
